The Hands-On Labs, Inc. (HOL) privacy policy relates only to information that we obtain about you. If you visit a website operated by a third party through a hyperlink included in this website, your information may be used differently by the operator of that linked website.

The information we will collect:

We collect purchasing and shipping information and details about the HOL products you ordered from the information you provide when you place an order from our site. Your information will be used to administer your requirements for information or services from us, to notify you about any
important changes, and to send you research surveys. Confirmation of your purchases may be supplied to your instructor or educational institution for academic integrity purposes. Occasionally, we may also use your details to inform you of other features, services, and products we or our affiliate can provide that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive this additional information, you can let us know by sending us an e-mail.

Keeping your data secure:

We will keep your personal information confidential except if we are compelled to disclose it by law or to comply with an instruction of a regulatory body of competent jurisdiction. To comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998, we adhere to strict security procedures and have taken all appropriate measures to enforce it. In order to assist us with our security policy, you must adhere to the provisions set out in our Purchase Terms and Conditions contained in the User Agreement

FERPA Statement: 

Science Interactive Group protects the privacy of our Licensees’ student education records in conformance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA"), where FERPA is applicable.

Science Interactive Group complies with all applicable provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99). We receive Student Data from institutions as a “school official” under FERPA and only process Student Data for educational purposes. In the event we receive a subpoena or judicial order for the disclosure of education records, we will notify the associated institution(s) prior to fulfilling the request in accordance with §99.31(a)(9).
